- Mix the grated cheese, cornstarch, yuca starches, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Add the egg and gradually pour in the milk until you get a smooth, lump-free dough.
- Shape the dough into small balls.
- Heat enough oil in a deep pot.
- Fry the buñuelos over medium heat until they rise to the surface and turn golden, about 10–12 minutes.
- Remove them and place on paper towels. Serve hot.
