Rations:
  • 300 grams of Nativo Coastal Cheese
  • 300 grams cornstarch
  • 30 grams of Sweet cassava starch
  • 50 grams white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 spoon of melted butter
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 bottle of frying oil

Preparation

  1. Mix the grated cheese, cornstarch, yuca starches, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add the egg and gradually pour in the milk until you get a smooth, lump-free dough.
  3. Shape the dough into small balls.
  4. Heat enough oil in a deep pot.
  5. Fry the buñuelos over medium heat until they rise to the surface and turn golden, about 10–12 minutes.
  6. Remove them and place on paper towels. Serve hot.
