Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Then add the rice and garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until the rice is coated with oil and the garlic is fragrant, about 4 minutes more. 
  3. Add chicken broth mixture, tomato sauce and Adobo to pot, stir to combine. Once rice mixture is boiling, reduce heat to low and cover. 
  4. Allow 5 minutes and add peas, cover again and simmer slowly, until water is absorbed, about 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and cover and allow the rice to stand until tender, about 5 minutes more.
  5. Stir the rice using a fork. Serve immediately.
