Have you tried the Coquito de Chocolate? This delicious “coquito” cocktail not only has a touch of coconut flavor, here it has a hint of chocolate flavor, a favorite in any celebration.  You can also make it as a gift for the holidays.

  • 1 can of Coconut cream
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened chocolate powder
  • 2 cups of condensed milk
  • 1 can of Coconut milk can
  • 2 cups of evaporated milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup of rum

To decorate

  • 1 tsp. of whipped cream to taste
  • 1 tsp. of grated coconut to taste
  • 1 tsp. of ground cinnamon to taste

Preparation

  1. In the blender add the coconut cream, chocolate powder, and blend until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Add the sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon and salt; continue blending until smooth. Add the rum or liqueur (to taste) and mix again, until everything is combined.

  2. Transfer to a pitcher or large glass bottle. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours, or until well chilled and thickened. To serve, whisk well first and pour into small glasses.

  3. Optional garnish: Add an exquisite touch to serve your Coquito de Chocolate, such as whipped cream, ground cinnamon, shredded coconut, etc.

    Note: You can keep your Coquito de Chocolate in the refrigerator, putting it in an airtight bottle for up to a week AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
