There are no other more delicious and easy cooking toasts than this! This Northern Mexican classic, the Tortillas are baked until the cheese is bubbly and melted, and the tortilla is crisp. THen add black olives in slices, avocados, shallots or chives, jalapeños and sauce. Serve them before they cool, whole or wedged; They will look like a personal pizza in the best Mexican style.

Preparation

  1. Heat the oven to 190ºC.
  2. Place the tortillas directly on the oven rack and leave them until they begin to swell and become crispy, about 4 minutes. Carefully remove the tortillas from the oven and put them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle grated cheese on them evenly and bake until cheese melts and is almost bubbly, about 3 minutes more. 
  3. Remove the tortillas from the oven and put them on plates.
  4. Distribute the rest of the ingredients on the tortillas in equal parts and serve immediately.
  5. Enjoy the whole or wedge toast, as if it were a Mexican pizza.
