GOYA EUROPE RECEIVES THE SOLIDARITY AWARD 2018 AT THE VIII SYMPOSIUM OF PREVENTION IN FOOTBALL AND SPORTS

Last Monday, June 4, the «Hearts of Solidarity» 2018 Prize was awarded in Madrid by the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) during the VIII Symposium on Prevention in Football and Sports. The doctor Bartolomé Beltrán; The professor of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Antonio López Farré; the sports journalist, Roberto Gómez Chaves; and the president of the COE, Alejandro Blanco, have been part of the organizing committee of this event.

Important personalities from sports, medicine, psychologists and journalists have participated in it. Our company has been one of the winners. Mr. Elías Picado Fernández, General Director of GOYA EUROPA, collected the prize. With a special mention for the contribution of the company in the area of ??nutrition and good nutrition with products such as Organic Olive Oil produced by the GOYA factory in Seville and Coconut Water the beverage that contributes to the well-being of athletes , a product with which GOYA goes hand in hand in its goal of contributing to the habit of healthy eating.

In the event inaugurated by the president of the COE, Alejandro Blanco, several participations were developed during the day.

The first round table was about «The Lung and the heart of the athlete», moderated by the editor of the newspaper Marca, Juan Ignacio Gallardo. In it, Pedro Villaroel, Juan Luis Rodríguez, Luis Puente, Miguel Ángel García and Estefanía Rey took part.

The second table was moderated by RTVE journalist Lourdes García Campos, where Mari Carmen Izquierdo, Elena Isla, Marta Arce, Irene Bretón, Eva Molleja and our GOYATEAM Isabel Masías spoke about «Food for female athletes».

Orfeo Suarez, sports editor of El Mundo newspaper, moderated the third roundtable that focused on «El cerebro del deporteista», where Ignacio Hidalgo, Ervigio Corral, Pedro Pérez Segura, Carlos Hugo Martínez Tomas Ortiz, Pedro Riesco and Vicente del Bosque.

THE AWARDS:

After the symposium and as a final point before the end of the day, Dr. Bartolomé Beltrán presented the Golden Heart Awards, to more than twenty entities and personalities from the media, educational, sports and healthcare world that have made the celebration of the Congress possible .

Alejandro Blanco, president of the Spanish Olympic Committee, received the Special Prize, for his tireless work and dedication to the front of the Olympic sport and Spanish. Winners were also; the director of TVE, José Antonio Sánchez; the founder and president of the Restalia Group, José María Fernández-Capitán; the director of the Civil Guard, José Manuel Holgado; and the CEO of A3Media Televisión, Javier Bardají.

The Corazones Solidarios 2018 awards went to Fernando Torres, José Luis Álvarez-Sala Walther, José Ángel de la Casa, Juan Blanco, Emilio de Andrés, Joaquín Poch Brotos, Jesús Manuel Peraza Casajús, José María Villalón, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, Antonio Fructuoso López Gómez and Goya Europa with its flagship product, the Coconut Water collected by Elías Picado, Director of GOYA in Europe.

During the day we were able to share our products with other people, as well as other companies. The GOYA products were very demanded by the public that I can taste it.

 

 

From GOYA FOODS and GOYA EUROPA we are very grateful to the Organizing Committee for these recognitions, to the Spanish Olympic Committee that has received us with affection in their home.
